One of the best ways to explore Northern Ontario's autumn beauty on captivating one-day Agawa Canyon Tour Train journey through lush forests and into a magnificent canyon!
Here's what you need to know about this incredible adventure:
Your journey commences at the downtown Sau Ste. Marie train depot, located at 87 Huron St. From there, you'll embark on approximately 200-kilometer excursion that showcases the natural beauty our province has to offer. Along the way, you'll traverse mixed forests of Canadian Shield, pass by northern lakes and rivers, and, as per its official site, "gaze upon the same rugged landscapes and breathtaking vistas that inspired the Group of Seven to create some of Canada's most renowned works of art."
While it's undoubtedly a treat for the eyes the summertime, the fall season brings its own enchantment as the surrounding foliage bursts into vibrant colours. The train gracefully descends into the Agawa Canyon, tracing the top of the canyon wall and descending 500 feet over the next 10 miles until it reaches the canyon floor.
According to Tourism Sault Ste. Marie, you'll have a 90-minute stop to savour the sights and explore the wonders of Agawa Canyon Park.
Enjoy!
